Melanie M. Lee, 67, of Lake Bluff, formerly of Lake Forest and having grown up in Hammond, Indiana, died October 6, 2009 in Chicago. Mrs. Lee was a retired teacher and administrator with the Special Education District of Lake County and Warren Township High school. She volunteered with Lake Forest–Lake Bluff Historical Society, Chicago History Museum and Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Loving wife of 34 years to Bill Lee of Lake Bluff. Fond cousin of Alice (the late Bill) Kuhs of Wheaton, IL. Cherished aunt of Kathy Loomis, Sue (Joe) Alamillo and Alice (Chris) Cole of Indiana. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 651 W. Washington Blvd., Suite 400, Chicago, IL 60661. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9, 2009 from 5pm to 8pm and Saturday, October 10th from 10:00am to 12:00 noon. Funeral service and burial are private.
