| Joseph John Brankis, 87, of Lake Forest died October 30, 2009. Husband of the late Irene (2006); Father of Joseph Michael (Nancy) Brankis; Grandfather of Michael & Brooks Brankis. He was the owner of Brankis Engineers, Inc. and served in the Army Air Force during WWII. Joseph was an avid golfer at Deerpath Golf Course for many years and in 2001 he was inducted into the Chicago 16 Inch Softball Hall of Fame for his many years of outstanding play.
