| Joseph H. Pawlish, 86, a 50-year resident of Lake Forest passed away on Dec. 17, 2009. Born May 31, 1923 in Chicago, Mr. Pawlish was the only child of the late Joseph and Lillian Pawlish (nee Skaja) and was survived by cousins and extended family. He graduated from Von Steuben High School in Chicago and the University of Illinois. Mr. Pawlish greatly enjoyed his career as a general contractor building many residential homes in Lake County. He later became a successful real estate agent in Lake Forest. Though never married, Mr. Pawlish touched the lives of many and forged cherished relationships that will never be forgotten. Those who knew him would agree that he was a dear and loyal friend, patient role model, and a professional with integrity. He epitomized the definition of a true gentleman. Visitation hours are from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday Dec. 22 at Wenban Funeral Home, 320 E. Vine Avenue, Lake Forest, with a 10:00 a.m. mass following at the Church of St. Mary, 175 E. Illinois Road, Lake Forest. Interment will be at St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery in Niles, IL.
