| Anne Leavitt died January 7, 2010. She was born in Kansas City, MO in 1910, one of eight children. Her father was a prominent art dealer in Kansas City. Her talent and her artistic nature were evident early in her life and she was awarded a scholarship to the Kansas City Art Institute. She met Jim Leavitt her future husband in Kansas City and they were married in 1936. This marriage lasted until his death in 1994. During those 58 years she raised three children, Pamela (Michael A.) Miles, Jim Leavitt, Jr. and Susan (Willoughby G.) Walling. She was treasured by her six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren over whom she dotted. Her husband was an avid and accomplished golfer and she patiently indulged him in this pursuit. The embodiment of a positive mental attitude, she had many friends and was a sought after bridge partner. In her clothing and home décor she revealed her sense of style and love of beauty. She had many friends who valued her warmth, charm and lively mind. She lived a wonderful life. No visitation. Please omit flowers.
