| Flora Douglas Benson, 68, longtime resident of Lake Forest and Lake Bluff died March 4, 2010 at Evanston Hospital. Loving wife of Thor R. Benson and the late Donald B. Douglas. Endearing mother of Andrew Douglas, Julie (John) Lucas, Donald Craig (Angi) Douglas and Leslie (Evan) Bauman. Amazing grandmother of Toby and Gavin Douglas, Ryann, Tate and Shea Lucas, step-grandmother of Sebastian, McKenzie, Alec and Brodie. Dear Sister of 1 brother and 9 sisters. Dedicated teacher of many. Flora received her Bachelor’s degree from Loyola, was instrumental in the formation of the Guidance Resource Center at Lake Forest High School and was an inspirational English teacher and counselor at Woodlands Academy. No visitation. Interment will be private. Memorial service 11 a.m. Friday, March 12th at the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest, 700 N. Sheridan Rd. Lake Forest, IL 60045. Please omit flowers.
