Alma B. Steadman, resident of Lake Bluff since 1953, passed away on March 27, 2010 at age 84 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Alma was the beloved wife of Lewis for more than 63 years, a devoted mother to their children Carol, Lewis Jr., Holly and Robert and the proud grandmother of Scott and Ben Steadman. She is also survived by her sister Janet Schwartz, sister-in-law Theresa Koegel, many nieces, grandnieces, nephews and grandnephews. Alma loved to travel and was an avid sports fan. Her favorite activity was spending time with her family and many friends. She always had a smile on her face and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A celebration of life will be held in May.
