| Donald Bruce Davidson, age 75, longtime resident of Lake Forest, passed away suddenly on June 22, 2010. He was a graduate of New Trier High School, Princeton University, and the University of Chicago. He was a well-known insurance executive, philanthropist, and community leader.
Preceded in death by his first wife Joyce Gibbons, he is survived by his wife Sherrie, daughter Anne Rippel, husband Dan, daughter Lynda Crowell, husband Rob, stepdaughter Heather Geismann, husband Todd, and stepson Bill Davidson, wife Suzana. Also survived by grandchildren: Kaitlin, Ben, and Tyler Rippel, Sam, Jack and Alex Crowell, Ava and Viola Geismann
A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 26th at 11:00 am at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 400 E. Westminster in Lake Forest.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Old Elm Scholarship Foundation, Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Chicago, or Dogs For Life (Dog Park Memorial Garden), P.O. Box 650023, Vero Beach, Florida, 32965.
